How It Works
The experience takes place over two meetings, offered in person or virtually—whichever feels most comfortable for you.
The Conversation
The first meeting is a relaxed, guided conversation of about an hour. Thoughtful questions invite you to reflect on the memories, experiences, and values that have shaped your life.
The conversation is not meant to be a complete life review. Instead, it focuses on the stories, experiences, and lessons that feel most significant to you, along with the wisdom you'd like to share with the people you love.
Creating Your Keepsake
The conversation is recorded and transcribed, then thoughtfully edited into a clear draft while preserving your own voice. During a follow-up session, we’ll review the draft together. You’ll also have time to review it on your own and consider anything you’d like to add, remove, or change before the final version is prepared, so that it reflects exactly what you'd like to share.
The final result is a beautifully printed keepsake booklet that reflects your life in your own words—exactly as you'd like it remembered. You'll also receive a PDF, making it easy to share with loved ones and continue adding to your reflections if you choose to.
If additional memories or stories come to mind—or you'd simply like to continue the conversation—another session can always be scheduled.
Guiding Questions
The conversation is guided by thoughtful questions that invite you to reflect on meaningful memories, experiences, and what you've learned along the way. You're always free to skip any question or take the conversation in whatever direction feels most meaningful to you.
Some questions include:
What experiences or memories stand out as especially meaningful in your life?
When have you felt most alive or most like yourself?
What roles have you played that have meant the most to you?
What have you learned about life that you would like to share with the people you love?
The reflective questions used in this process are informed by Dignity Therapy, a research-based approach developed to help people explore what has mattered most in their lives. This approach has been widely studied and shown to support emotional wellbeing, peace of mind, and a greater sense of meaning and purpose.
A Meaningful Gift
For the parent, grandparent, or friend who seems to have everything. For the person who would cherish the opportunity to reflect, be heard, and share what matters most. For the family that wants to know the person they love more deeply.
Reflections on Life and Legacy makes a deeply meaningful gift. It is more than a keepsake—it's a gift of time, reflection, being heard, and creating something lasting.
Your Questions, Answered

Not at all. There is nothing you need to prepare or write down beforehand. I’ll guide the conversation with thoughtful questions, and you are free to share as much or as little as you’d like and take the conversation in whatever direction feels meaningful to you.
-
You don’t need to have lived an extraordinary life to have meaningful stories to tell. Often, it’s the everyday experiences, relationships, choices, and moments that have shaped us that become the most meaningful to reflect on and preserve.
-
No. Reflections on Life and Legacy is not intended to be a complete autobiography or chronological account of your life. The conversation focuses on the memories, experiences, relationships, values, and lessons that feel most meaningful to you.

You are always in control of what you share. You can skip any question or topic, and you decide what is ultimately included in your keepsake.
-
Yes. Some families choose Reflections on Life and Legacy when someone they love is living with a serious or terminal illness. The conversation can offer an opportunity to preserve meaningful memories, reflections, and wishes in their own words while there is still time to do so.
